Synergies between San Marino and Italy for business competitiveness and resilience
Today, 15 November 2024, an important event was held entitled “From the heart of the peninsula to the world – synergies between San Marino and Italy for business competitiveness and resilience”.
The presence of the Minister of Finance and Budget, Marco Gatti, together with his colleagues Luca Beccari and Rossano Fabbri, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Industry respectively, marked the importance of the event organised directly by the Economic Development Agency – Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of San Marino.
During the event, the opportunities arising from San Marino’s full alignment with international tax standards and its future association with the European Union were discussed in detail.
This agreement, which is the result of intensive negotiations, will allow San Marino’s economic operators to fully integrate into the European single market, ensuring equal treatment with market actors. This turning point represents a natural evolution in the long path of San Marino’s integration with the European Union, which began in the 1980s. The application of the acquis communautaire will cover crucial areas such as company law, financial services, competition and the free movement of persons, goods, services and capital.
This agreement will not only facilitate economic integration, but may also stimulate the growth and development of San Marino companies, making them more competitive at European and international level.
